I LOVE L.A.

Los Angeles, Lakers that is!
Well = I was pleasantly surprised when Dan asked me if I wanted to go to the Staples Center to see the Lakers play the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night. I was like, "Of Course, I used to be the stat girl for my high school Varsity team". Not to mention American Idol just wasn't my first choice of entertainment that night. Now = what I am going to say, I say with caution BUT what the hell is the BIG deal about Kobe Bryant. As with any athlete that I watch, there comes a time when I simply shut down to their consistent superior performances. It is much like someone telling me the end of a great movie before I even go see it. We know Kobe is a great basketball player, it has been drilled into our heads by the media. I mean what else could the media do two years ago to draw attention away from Kobe Bryant's alleged RAPE trial but to continuously play up his supernatural basketball skills so those patrons paying $1000 for courtside seats would still continue to pay, only that time they got to see a RAPIST hog the ball, complain about non foul calls, dramatically throw himself to the ground to draw a foul and oh yea - not pass the ball to any one of the other players on the team - who I might say were incredibly entertaining to watch and in my opinion much more thrilling than #8. I know that is bold to say outloud but for some reason just saying it certainly makes me feel really flippin' good. Now, don't get me started on Tiger Woods - I could go on for hours on that one.
